Through the eyes of a botanist and the creative mind of an artist, my work aims to question our paradoxical relationship of dependency and detachment with the natural environments. In nature I find inspiration to expose the often unperceived signs of life that convey the critical message of ephemerality, and address issues of climate change, social resilience and sustainability. In a multiplicity of forms and the use of mixed media, ranging from discarded materials shaped into sculptural pieces to raw elements framed into a photograph, my work often blends natural elements and human made objects. With these, I engage with the audience and facilitate peaceful conversations on conflicting themes relating to environmental and social issues.
